This is a RARE SET OF 4 HISTORICAL LANDMARKS PLACE MATS issued in the 1960’s by ESSO. They each measure approximately 17 1/2″ by 11 1/2″
and have a vinyl coating front and back. The 4 illustrations by GEORGE SHAWE are: INDEPENDENCE HALL in Philadelphia, PA, GOVERNOR’S PALACE in Williamsburg, VA, THE CAPITOL, Washington, DC and PUBLIC GARDENS in Boston, Mass.
